Nestled within the lush gardens of the charming Es Molí Hotel in Deià, Anna and Chris’ engagement session was the perfect way to celebrate their love, just one day before their breathtaking wedding at the iconic Son Marroig. Their wedding journey began during a memorable trip to Madeira in 2023, when Chris proposed with a stunning, timeless engagement ring from Andria Barboné Jewelry. The ring, a symbol of their enduring love, perfectly matched the timeless beauty of their engagement session, and I couldn’t help but feel inspired by their connection.
For this shoot, I was intentional about creating something truly distinctive. I shot entirely on expired Portra 400 medium format film to evoke rich, nuanced colors and soft tones that would feel both timeless and artistic. The outcome was beyond what I could have imagined—the images are filled with depth and warmth, perfectly mirroring Anna and Chris’ bond. Every frame felt intimate, as if I were capturing their most private moments, rather than simply staging them.
